After the successful launch of cone shaped FAST Filter, Sibarist develop flat bottom version of FAST Filter. With using the same material, this filter also has good permeability and fast flow rate as the cone shaped version.
The main feature of this filter compares to other flat bottom filters is “no wave”. Flat bottom drippers use “waves” in filter to keep air flow running smoothly. But on the other hand, some water will flow from the “waves” without passing the coffee bed, and some coffee ground will be trapped in the “waves”, these two situations might cause uneven extraction. If you are now using wave filters and have similar concern, then you might want to give this filter a try.
Highly recommend to rinse it before brew so filter can stick with dripper’s wall and maximize its performance.
